1932 Packard Eight Phantom Coupe - Pack-odd

Have you ever seen a 1932 Packard coupé? Even if you have, you haven't seen one like this, as it's a 'phantom' i.e. a bodystyle that was never offered from new. Packard was an American luxury marque built by the Packard Motor Car Company of Detroit; they were a fierce rival for Cadillac and Lincoln, all of which were producing cars aimed at the high end of the car market.
The 1932 Packard range included a three-window coupe, but this Packard is actually based on a Sedan Coupé (also known as a 'Victoria Coupé) that had been modified in the 1950s, with a '49 Ford boot section and made into a coupé. An unusual choice to say the least, it's a welcome distraction from a '32 Ford; you sure won't see one of these every day, or even at most rod runs.

Vern Tardel Jim Muffer '32 Roadster Project

Regular viewers will no doubt remember the pics we posted of the Vern Tardel Enterprises Winter Leaf Brown '32 back in September last year. Their current project, a '32 roadster for Jim Muffer, looks to be another quality car. We love the attention to detail, like all of the dress-up work on the flathead, the colour combo which shouldn't work but does and the 'just rightness' of the whole package. We just can't stop looking at it.

Vern Tardel '32 Winter Leaf Brown Roadster

We've already had a '34 Ford this week, so lets have a'32 to keep it company. Vern Tardel Enterprises,
those bastions of 'trad' Ford Hot Rod building, are the builders of this Winter Leaf  Brown (a 30's Ford colour) beauty, and while again we have little info to hand on it, that doesn't stop us ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the pics. Ain't she a beaut?
